Xiyan Fairy Cave is located in the Xiyan Village, Ronghuan Town, Hengdong County of Hengyang. It is near to the Fenghuang Peak, one of the 72 peaks of Nanyue Mount Hengshan. It is about 30 kilometers away from Hengdong County, and only less 3 kilometers away from The Former Residence of Marshal Luo Ronghuan, another famous tourist spot in Hengdong County. Xiyan Fairy Cave was named by one of the emperors in Tang Dynasty, known as “the first beautiful scene in southern Hunan” since ancient times.

Xiyan Fairy Cave is one of the largest karst caves in South China, and it is fused together with both natural landscape and human landscape. Travelers can enter into the Cave up to 2,160 meters, with the total area of 100,000 square meters and dozens of small or big cave halls. Inside the Cave, stalagmites stand in great numbers like trees in a forest.
