In 2023, the city’s general public budget revenue reached RMB 19.561 billion. After excluding non-comparable factors such as tax reductions, the revenue increased by 6.15% on a comparable basis. Of this total, tax revenue was RMB 13.455 billion, growing 3.0% on a comparable basis, and non-tax revenue was RMB 6.106 billion, an increase of 0.9%. The total general public budget expenditure for the year was RMB 66.265 billion, up 7.2%. Expenditures included RMB 2.817 billion for public safety (up 2.7%), RMB 11.633 billion for education (up 6.1%), RMB 9.801 billion for social security and employment (up 8.2%), RMB 6.652 billion for healthcare (down 8.6%), and RMB 2.086 billion for housing security (up 4.2%). By the end of 2023, the balance of domestic and foreign currency deposits at financial institutions stood at RMB 576.355 billion, marking a year-on-year growth of 9.54%. This included RMB 457.697 billion in household deposits (up 12.7%), RMB 53.744 billion in deposits by non-financial enterprises (down 5.4%), and RMB 1.205 billion in deposits by non-bank financial institutions (up 52.1%). The total balance of domestic and foreign currency loans by financial institutions (including offshore and off-balance-sheet loans) was RMB 387.94 billion, an increase of 9.1%. Among them, household loans amounted to RMB 150.821 billion (up 5.0%), while loans to non-financial enterprises and government institutions totaled RMB 193.685 billion (up 11.4%). At year-end, the loan-to-deposit ratio of financial institutions was 67.3%, down 0.3 percentage points from the previous year. By the end of 2023, there were 31 securities firm branches operating in the city, with a total transaction volume of RMB 549.479 billion, a slight year-on-year increase of 0.08%. In 2023, insurance companies recorded RMB 12.699 billion in original premium income, representing a 0.1% increase over the previous year. This included RMB 8.368 billion in life insurance premiums (down 3.5%), RMB 2.544 billion in health insurance premiums (down 1.3%), RMB 224 million in personal accident insurance premiums (down 18.5%), and RMB 4.331 billion in property insurance premiums (up 7.8%). Insurance claims payouts amounted to RMB 5.064 billion, an increase of 13.4%. |
