The provincial meeting of construction of clean party and government and anti-corruption for poverty alleviation was held in Changsha on April 14. 14 city-level and  134 county-level directors of poverty relief office, 14 city-level and 51 county-level leaders of key discipline inspection groups of poverty relief office and all the cadres and staff attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Zhiyong Zhang who is a party member and deputy mayor, reported by a party member and the head of discipline team Weiguo Xiong, and delivered by the party secretary and the director Zhiqun Wang.

  Weiguo Xiong summarized and reviewed the achievement made in construction of clean party and government and anti-corruption for poverty alleviation in 2015, pointed out existing problems and made deployment of the work in 2016.

  He also pointed out that poverty alleviation and development concerns the achievement of a moderately prosperous society, the image of party and government and fundamental interests of people in need, so people pay close attention to it. Masses have intensive responses, high media attention and low tolerance for construction of clean party and government in poverty alleviation. Officials would be the target of public criticism if problems emerged, which takes toll on the society. Any carelessness could take things the wrong way especially during the sprint period of poverty alleviation featuring large amount of investment and projects, wide-range interest adjustment and increasing regulatory difficulties. A clear picture of situation should be made and understanding should be deepened when carrying out the work. Construction of clean party and government and anti-corruption have always been the important political task. Sense of responsibility need to be strengthened to make sure the successful complement of poverty alleviation. Keynotes should be focused and enduring effort be made to keep further combat. This year is the outset of the 13th five-year plan, so it is necessary for winning the battle of poverty alleviation to enhance the work of poverty alleviation and anti-corruption. Party rules and disciplines must be strictly obeyed, fund projects be focused, inner-party supervision be intensified to reduce and avoid problem that officials commit corruption from fund of poverty alleviation. Responsibilities need be specified and strengthened to ensure party rules fall into place in an all-round way. With fine and steady work style, Poverty relief departments at all levels should also make full implementation of entity responsibilities, abide by the rules for officials to attain new contribution for the victory of poverty alleviation and full achievement of moderately prosperous society.
