BYD Group currently has four major industries: IT, automobiles, new energy, and rail transportation, with a complete industrial chain and strong R&D and production capabilities. It is the only company in the world to simultaneously master battery, motor, electric control, charging infrastructure, and Complete Vehicle Technology. The company holds an 11% global market share of new energy vehicles and operates in over 50 countries and regions across more than 200 cities.

BYD Group plans to invest 3 to 5 billion yuan to establish the project "BYD Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park" in Songmu Economic Development Zone in Hengyang, covering an area of 1,000 mu， located south of Hengda Expressway, west of Zhengyang North Road, north of Xinli Chemical Co., Ltd, and east of National Highway 107. The park will become the sole base in Hunan for BYD's rail transit vehicles (SkyRail and SkyShuttle)， undertaking the responsibilities for, but not limited to the production of BYD’s straddle-type monorail vehicle in Hunan Province， and the main production and sales (including exports) of core components（including communication signal systems, power supply systems, switches, motors, electric controls, and chassis etc.） for BYD’s cloud rail systems in China.

This project will play an active role in promoting the development of a rail transit network in Hengyang City and Hunan Province. Once operational, the project’s total annual output value in the first year will be no less than 10 billion yuan, with the total output value reaching 20 billion yuan within 3 years and 50 billion yuan within 6 years.
