On October 27th, Liu Yuegao, secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, went to Hengyang County to publicize the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and investigate its economic and social development. He stressed that it is necessary to study, popularize and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and see it as the top political task at present and for some time to come. We will practice steadily under the Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era to achieve unity in thinking, will, and action. We will implement the major decisions and arrangements made at the 20th National Congress step by step while also cultivating advantages and focusing on Hengyang so as to advance toward the Second Centenary Goal of building China into a great modern socialist country in all respects.

Liu Yuegao visited Jiepai Ceramic Industrial Park, Chuanshan Time Valley and Deyang Footwear Company to investigate the construction and industrial development of ceramic industry, watch industry chain and other projects, and asked if there’s any problem to be solved and any requirement to be satisfied. He stressed that it is necessary to further create a high-quality business environment, strengthen the whole industrial chain to attract investment, and promote industrial agglomeration and development. When he came to the Taijiu Village in Taiyuan Town and Meihua Village in Xidu Town, Liu Yuegao learned about the agricultural production, rural revitalization, safe production, grassroots Party building and civilized practice in the new era. He stressed that it is of vital importance to further consolidate the grassroots foundation, give full play to grassroots Party organizations and Party members, who play the role of fighting force and exemplary vanguard, vigorously promote the integration and development of rural industries, strengthen the guidance of industrial planning, and help farmers increase their income and become affluent. Liu Yuegao also inspected the construction of Qingjiang Bridge Project on the spot.
