Guo Guquan, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Hunan Province, came Hengyang to investigate the construction of high-level tourist attraction.

Guo Guquan, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Hunan Province, and his colleagues came Hengyang to investigate the construction of high-level tourist attraction on May 13th to 15th. 

Guo Guquan and his colleagues visited and investigated Huaguo Hill in Mount Heng, Cai Lun Memorial, Mount Yin in Changning, the Home of Wang Chuanshan, and Student Association in southern Hunan Memorial themselves. They learnt the details of history of the Labor Movement in Shuikou Hill and of the construction project of the Labor Movement Memorial in Shuikou Hill at the Labor Movement Memorial in Shuikou Hill, at the construction site of the Labor Movement Memorial in Shuikou Hill, on Kangjia Stage and in Kang Hanliu Restaurant. He demanded that the repaired historical buildings should be preserved or restored as the original states and the revolutionary relics should be restored and protected well; And he asked that fine traditions should be carried forward, red genes should be inherited and red cultures should be fully exploited to build Shuikou Hill into a red industrial and mining tourist attraction.

In the forum of May 15th, Guo Guquan listened thoughtfully to the report of the construction project of high-level tourist attraction made by Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio and Sports and discussed with officers of Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio and Sports in different countries and cities and some staffs of tourist association. Guo Guquan fully recognized the achievements of the construction of high-level tourist association in Hengyang in recent years. And he believed the achievements interrelated with municipal officials’ overall plans and steady promotion and they were tightly linked with a high value payed and complete support to the construction of high-level tourist association made by Prefectural and Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio and Sports. And he heaped the achievements of tourism development in Hengyang last year and high-level tourism resources with praise.

Finally, Guo Guquan showed his expectations and submitted his claims to high-level tourist association in Hengyang this year: First, unifying ideas and setting high values; Second, systematically leading and paying high attention to standards; Third, properly arranging and optimizing categories; Fourth, strengthening management and improving the quality and effect. Improving the quality of tourism services by powerful measures, enriching the categories of tourism, catching up the peak season and seizing the opportunities of tourism development to make tourism industry of Hengyang a new growth point of tourism economy.
