How to Prevent Infection with the New Coronavirus While Traveling in China?
From:衡阳市党政门户网 | Date Add in:2022-07-15 10:03:50 [A  A]

At present, the new coronavirus epidemic outbreak has been gradually brought under control, but tourists still need to take precautions when traveling in China. Safety and health are the top priorities for planning the trip to China. How to prevent infection with the new coronavirus while traveling in China? Here are some useful prevention tips.

1. Avoid the Worst Affected Areas

If you are traveling to China in the near future, please avoid the worst affected outbreak area Hubei Province (Wuhan). Other provinces, such as Guangdong Province, Henan Province, Zhejiang Province, Hunan Province, etc., also need to be carefully considered as tourist destinations. At present, China’s safest tourist destination is Tibet in northwestern; Qinghai, Inner Mongolia, and Xinjiang are also low coronavirus risk areas. Planning your trip to China with risk-free coronavirus and keep safe is the most important thing.

2. Keep Distance with People

Travelers should try to avoid contact with people who display symptoms similar to those of pneumonia or the common cold, such as coughing or runny noses. When someone coughs or sneezes, they spray small liquid droplets from their nose or mouth which may contain virus. If you are too close, you can breathe in the droplets, including the COVID-19 virus if the person coughing has the disease. Maintain at least 1 meter (3 feet) distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.

3. Maintain Good Personal Hygiene

Travelers had better wash their hands frequently with soap and water or alcohol-based hand sanitizer, making sure to scrub for at least 20 seconds. It will kill viruses that may be on your hands. Wash your hands after coughing or sneezing, and avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with your unwashed hands. When coughing or sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue, towel, etc. Then dispose of the used tissue immediately. Make sure you, and the people around you, follow good respiratory hygiene. Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

4. Wear Face Masks when Visiting

Wearing a face mask is a very effective way to protect yourself from infectious coronavirus diseases when visiting. So please keep enough medical surgical masks or surgical protective masks (N95 masks) on hand because you may not be able to buy them in offline stores in China. At present, the reopened tourist attractions have been professionally sterilized and the daily number of tourists is limited. Please feel free to visit. But wearing a mask is still necessary.

5. Pay Attention to Food Hygiene

Visitors need to pay attention to food safety and hygiene, and avoid eating or drinking raw or undercooked animal products, including milk, eggs and meat, or foods that may be contaminated by animal secretions, excreta (such as urine) or products, unless it has been properly processed and thoroughly cooked. Don't eat food purchased from street vendors. Avoid eating wild animals. Do not eat animals and their products that are already sick. If you book a trip with us, please rest assured that we will arrange a safe and healthy restaurant for you.

6. Keep Environment Clean

Maintain good indoor ventilation. Strengthening air circulation is an important means to effectively prevent respiratory infectious diseases. To ensure the air circulation in the hotel room, it is recommended to keep the air ventilated for about 20 ~ 30 minutes every day. Customers should minimize their contact with public facilities and wash their hands frequently. Travelers should wear masks when taking the lift and try to avoid direct contact with the facilities inside the elevator. When traveling with Top China Travel, we will arrange clean and safe hotels for you to ensure your personal safety.

7. Avoid Contact with Wild Animals

Avoid contact with poultry, wild animals and their excreta and secretions, and avoid buying live poultry and wild animals. Avoid going to animal farms and slaughterhouses, live poultry animal trading markets or stalls, wildlife habitats or other places. Don't handle animals (especially monkeys, cats, dogs), to avoid the risk of rabies. Travelers in any part of the world should steer clear of markets that sell live wild animals because scientists believe the outbreak of the new coronavirus is linked to the live animal. You must take precautions when you travel.

8. Seek Medical Advice Promptly

If you do become ill after traveling to or within China, report your symptoms to a health authority right away. In any case, if you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing seek medical care early to reduce the risk of developing a more severe infection and be sure to share your recent travel history with your health care provider. Follow the directions of your local health authority. This will also protect you and help prevent spread of viruses and other infections. All passengers are advised to take their medical records with them. In an emergency, your medical records can be helpful.
