On the morning of May 25th, 2023 training class for defense work of floods and droughts was held in our city. More than 600 directors and backbones of floods and droughts disaster defense participated in this training. 

In the training class, three experts form the defense center of provincial Water Conservancy Department and municipal Water Conservancy Bureau, illustrated and analyzed in detail the following aspects, that is, extreme rainstorms and floods defense, standard management of embankments and sluices, key technical points of patrolling embankments to avoid and deal with something dangerous and risky and safe measures of reservoirs and flood prevention, from the three respects, typical case studies of rainstorms and floods disaster, how should the head of flood prevention function and cases of how to rescue reservoirs and embankments.  It provides the whole city with constructive guidance for the defense work of floods and droughts.

Huang Li requests that we should implement the spirit of the 20th CPC Congress and the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important directions to floods and droughts prevention, recognize the situation, strengthen our sense of urgency, establish worst-case thinking firmly, bear in mind the floods and droughts prevention and disaster reliefs, insist on putting prevention first and finishing practical actions from disaster and grasp the initiative of floods and droughts disasters defense firmly. We ought to prepare plans ahead for undertaking flood prevention and preparation, try our best to ensure the security of prevention, stick to the guidance of political affairs, problems, responsibility and result, accomplish all kinds of preparation work firmly, prevent and settle the risk of floods and droughts disaster and hold on to the security baseline of flood prevention firmly. We had better value opportunities, absorb knowledge earnestly, improve rescue ability, correct attitudes, master methods, follow strict discipline, fulfill training assignments fully and promote ability of flood prevention and rescue practically.
