In the meeting it was reported the situation of urban and rural residents' insurance participation in the entire region for the year 2023, and made arrangements and deployments for doing a good job of urban and rural residents' insurance participation in the year 2024.

Yang Yong, a member of the Standing Committee of the District Committee and Executive Deputy director of the district government, pointed out that it is necessary to unify our thinking and fully recognize that paying insurance premiums is a political task, a livelihood task, and a bottom line task, in order to consolidate and promote the consensus of the entire population on insurance participation. We need to strengthen work measures, increase publicity efforts, strengthen collaborative cooperation, optimize payment services, and strictly enforce collection discipline to form a joint force to promote universal participation in insurance. We need to consolidate work responsibilities, implement a target responsibility system, give full play to the supervision and guidance system, and strengthen the responsibility reversal system to ensure the completion of the task of universal participation in insurance.

In 2024, the provincial payment standard for urban and rural residents will be 380 yuan per person (20 yuan per person will be subsidized by the district government for the insured residents with Nanyue registered residence registration), and the national financial subsidy standard will be 640 yuan per person. The payment period is from August 27, 2023 to December 31, 2023. Urban and rural residents can pay at village or community convenience service centers or use the "Hunan Tax Social Security" WeChat mini program App. Mobile banking, online banking and WeChat official account self-service terminals in business halls of all commercial banks can pay fees.
