In order to implement President Xi jinping’s ideology of water saving, on September 20, the Hengyang City Water Saving Office organized directors of logistics sections of local universities, including Nanhua University, Hengyang Normal University and Hunan Industrial College,to Changsha University of Technology to learn work experience of water saving.

The person in charge of the Logistics Service Support Center of Changsha University of Technology comprehensively introduced the school's water saving work experience and effectiveness to the study and inspection team. In recent years, the university has fully attracted the participation of private capital technology, innovated the cooperation mode and operation mechanism of contract water saving, and created a three-dimensional, systematic, and comprehensive water saving environment in terms of water saving technology means, water saving concepts, water saving models, water saving management, etc., achieving long term comprehensive benefits such as social benefits, ecological benefits, and economic benefits. Only from January to August 2022, the water consumption of schools decreased by 774,550 cubic meters compared to 2021, saving 2.23 million yuan in funds.

During the study and inspection period, relevant personnel from the Hengyang Water Conservation Office discussed and exchanged ideas with Changsha University of Technology on how to implement planned water use, quota water use management, and strengthen water saving publicity in universities. The logistics managers of Hengyang local universities consulted with the head of the Logistics Service Support Center of Changsha University of Technology on specific work such as the renovation of old pipeline networks, water conservation target management, water saving incentive mechanism, pipeline maintenance, information management, and contracts of water saving.

Participants expressed that this study and inspection has yielded fruitful results. The water saving model of Changsha University of Technology has strong foresight, operability, and replicability. In the future, we will fully learn and learn from the water saving model and successful experience of Changsha University of Technology, closely combine with the water saving work of Hengyang City and universities, and further deepen and implement the water-saving work in universities.
