On the morning of September 23rd, memorial stamps of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou were released in Hengyang. The city’s stamp collectors and sports experts came to the stamp collecting business office of Hengyang Postal Service Company early, waiting for the purchase of stamps. The set of memorial stamps released by China Post has 2 stamps and are made of the emblem and the mascots. Each set has a face value of 2.40 yuan.

The 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou starts from September 23 to October 8. Its emblem is made of many elements including a Chinese fan, the Qiantang River, a tidal bore, a running track, the Internet icon and the glowing red sun of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). Mascots of the Asian Games of “Chenchen”, “Congcong” and “Lianlian” are a group of robots with a deep significance and times vigor. The group is called “Yijiangnan”, which stem from Tang Dynasty's poet Bai Juyi ’s famous sentence “When I recall Jiangnan, the most memorable is Hangzhou,” and also merges Hang Zhou’s history, humanity and culture, natural ecology and innovation thinking.

The set of stamps, with a simple and bright image and outstanding theme, adopts the design of linked tickets. Two stamps are centered on the emblem and the mascots of the Asian Games respectively, and the underneath are Hangzhou Asian Games’ core pictures and color systems, which have integrated Chinese color culture with Hangzhou features. The pictures are brief but bright, with highlighted theme.

It’s reported that in order to further enrich the content of the stamps, China Post will release digital content through “Encyclopedia of Chinese Philatelic Stamps” on WeChat Mini Program, which can be viewed via AR function.
