On the 13th, the Jietang Village Elderly Association in Qidong County successfully completed the election, marking a new stage in the standardized construction of grassroots elderly associations in our county. According to the principle of "Party and government leadership, association support, and social participation", Qidong County Elderly Service Center has taken the initiative to fully guide the standardized work of grassroots elderly associations and created a new pattern of elderly service in our county.

The County Elderly Service Center guided the Jietang Village Elderly Association to standardize the election process, optimize the team structure, achieve full coverage of the "three publics", and make the age structure of the team younger, more scientific, and exemplary. Taking Jitang Village as a demonstration, the county has implemented elderly subsidies, established health records, and organized 12 physical examinations, enabling more than 490 elderly people to achieve "doorstep" health protection and weaving a dense "elderly care and medical care" guarantee network. The Center created cultural brands such as "Elderly School" and "Silver Hair Singing Team", carried out activities such as Double Ninth Festival performance and square dance competition, and enrich spiritual and cultural life. The Center innovatively carried out the "Silver Age Protection" action, created a smart home elderly care service platform, provided home care services for disabled elderly, effectively delivered the care of the Party to the hearts of the elderly, and upgraded from "elderly happiness" to "elderly enjoyment". The Center Guided the elderly population to participate in grassroots governance, established a rural civilization supervision team and a red propaganda team, mediated 15 disputes, and promoted the transformation of customs and traditions in more than 40 cases. The Center explored the skills of "old craftsmen", trained "rural cultural inheritors", developed characteristic handicraft cooperatives, connected with the tourism development and e-commerce platform of Yaohu Wetland Park, cultivated the silver haired economy, tried to drive 10-12 households to increase income within three years, and achieved resonance between "elderly people have something to do" and rural revitalization.
