On the afternoon of April 14th to the morning of April 15th, Zhang Runhuai, the Secretary of the Leiyang City Party Committee, visited and comforted elderly cadres including Wang Lizhong, Liu Zuoqin, Li Xueling, Bu Yiquan, Mao Liqun, Shi Xijin, and Chen Jiqi at their homes, carefully listening to their opinions and suggestions.

Wherever he went, Zhang Runhuai warmly communicated with the old cadres, inquired about their health and living conditions, and thanked them for their important contributions and solid foundation for the construction and development of Leiyang City. Zhang Runhuai said that the achievements in the economic and social development of Leiyang City today are the result of successive efforts, which are full of the hard work and wisdom of old cadres and comrades. The secretary hoped the veteran cadres take good care of their health, give full play to their residual energy, continue to care for and support the development of Leiyang City, and provide valuable opinions. All levels and relevant departments should implement policies and measures well, and use their hearts, emotions, and efforts to provide service guarantees, so that the elderly cadres and comrades can take care of their physical and mental health and better play their roles.

Zhang Runhuai requested that all party members and cadres in the city inherit and carry forward the fine traditions and work style of old cadres and comrades, humbly learn and consult from them, gather wisdom and strength from all sides, improve their position, broaden their horizons, and enlarge their scope, to promote the preparation of the "15th Five Year Plan" with high standards. We should accelerate the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, further identify the future development direction of industries in Leiyang City, continue to make efforts to cultivate industries, do their best to do a good job in people's livelihood, solidly promote rural revitalization, and never relax in ensuring safety and stability.
