On April 23rd, Wang Yan, the secretary of Yanfeng District Party Committee, went to Yueping Town to conduct a "four grassroots" research and supervise the spring plowing production work. She emphasized the need to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important discourse on the work of agriculture, rural areas, and farmers, firmly shoulder the political responsibility for food security, seize the opportunity to prepare for spring plowing during farming, scientifically and efficiently carry out agricultural production, and empower rural revitalization with high-quality development of the agricultural industry.

At present, it is a critical period for spring plowing and preparation. Wang Yan is very concerned about the supply of agricultural materials and the situation of crop sowing. Walking into the fields, Wang Yan had cordial exchanges with local farmers, inquiring about their production and living conditions as well as the difficulties they faced, and conducting on-site research to find solutions.

Wang Yan pointed out that spring plowing and preparation are key links in the annual grain production. All relevant departments should work together and resolutely implement the decisions and arrangements of the central and provincial governments on spring plowing and preparation, making food security the primary political task. We need to implement and refine various policies that benefit farmers, strengthen the guarantee of agricultural material supply, stimulate farmers' production enthusiasm, ensure the implementation of national policies that benefit the people, improve farmers' sense of gain and happiness, and make every effort to stabilize the "basic plate" of grain production.

Wang Yan emphasized the need to elevate our political stance, with a sense of responsibility to "always be at ease", firmly guard the bottom line of safety, and solidly carry out flood prevention and preparedness work. We need to accelerate the repair of water damage projects and maintenance of irrigation canal systems, optimize regional water resource allocation, effectively enhance the disaster resistance of farmland, and ensure food security. We must firmly guard the red line of farmland protection, actively carry out rectification in strict accordance with the requirements of higher authorities, strengthen farmland inspection and dynamic monitoring, enhance daily management and protection, and resolutely curb the "non agriculturalization" of farmland and the "non grainization" of basic farmland. We need to increase investment in technology, fully leverage resource advantages, strengthen agricultural technology and equipment support, and increase product market share. Relevant departments should strengthen technical guidance services to help farmers scientifically select seeds and apply fertilizers reasonably, laying a solid foundation for a bountiful harvest of grain throughout the year.
