Overall Road Traffic Safety in Hengyang Continues to Improve
From:衡阳市政府门户网站 | Date Add in:2025-06-28 11:15:23 [A  A]

On the morning of June 26, the Traffic Police Detachment of the Hengyang Public Security Bureau convened the 2025 “July 1” Commendation Ceremony and Mid-Year Summary Meeting on Public Security Traffic Management, with the goal of ensuring steady progress in traffic safety management across the city in the second half of the year.

Since the beginning of this year, public security traffic management authorities throughout the city have focused on the core objectives of “resolutely preventing major and particularly serious road traffic accidents, strictly curbing incidents resulting in two or more fatalities, and decisively reducing the number of fatal traffic accidents.” Under the themes of “Rural Safety Protection, Safeguarding Major Nodes, and Fine-grained Urban Management,” the departments have prioritized eliminating hidden risks, addressing shortcomings, and solving challenging problems. These efforts aim to provide high-level safety services to support the city’s high-quality social and economic development. As a result, the overall road traffic safety situation in Hengyang has continued to improve steadily.

In the second half of the year, the city’s traffic management authorities will focus on risk control, safeguarding safe and smooth transportation, strengthening emergency response capabilities, enhancing harmonious momentum, and improving sustained operational effectiveness. The priority will be to further reduce fatal accidents and improve the overall quality and efficiency of road traffic management and services, with the firm commitment to safeguarding the “road defense line,” the “lifeline,” and the “bottom line of safety.”

During the meeting, a responsible official from the detachment read out the “Decision on Commending Advanced Collectives and Outstanding Individuals,” delivered an assessment of traffic order rectification efforts in the first half of 2025, reviewed the progress of the citywide accident prevention and reduction campaign, and reported on other related work.
