On the afternoon of June 29, Liu Yuegao, Secretary of the CPC Hengyang Municipal Committee, met with Li Chengcheng, Deputy Party Secretary of China National Nuclear Corporation Uranium Industry Co., Ltd. The two sides held in-depth discussions on strengthening strategic cooperation, accelerating project implementation, and further integrating nuclear technology applications with local economic development.

Liu Yuegao noted that Hengyang shares a unique bond with CNNC, having developed a deep friendship through long-term cooperation. In recent years, Hengyang has vigorously advanced its development strategy of “building the city on manufacturing and revitalizing it through culture and tourism,” achieving remarkable results in collaboration with CNNC in the field of nuclear technology applications, with broad prospects ahead. He expressed the hope that the two sides will further identify areas of alignment, enhance the integration of strategic planning, and better promote the incorporation of nuclear technology into the local economy to realize deeper cooperation. He also called for strengthening coordination to accelerate the construction and delivery of key cooperative projects, ensuring that results are achieved promptly. Hengyang, he emphasized, will continue to optimize the business environment, make every effort to resolve challenges in the cooperation process, and work together to build a new benchmark for central-local collaboration.

On behalf of CNNC, Li Chengcheng thanked the Hengyang Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government for their consistent strong support of the partnership. He shared an overview of CNNC’s business development in Hengyang and outlined future cooperation directions. Li remarked that Hengyang, as a pivotal hub of China’s nuclear industry, holds a significant position in CNNC’s industrial layout. He expressed the hope that both sides will deepen collaboration in industrial park development and the commercialization of technological achievements, and looked forward to further support from Hengyang in areas such as policy incentives and the resolution of historical issues to jointly drive more substantial progress in cooperative projects.
