On the afternoon of June 30, when the 104th anniversary of the founding of the CPC was approaching, Wei Zhongfa, a member of the Party Leadership Group of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress and the Secretary of the District Party Committee, came to Dongyangdu Street to pay a visit to the representatives of old Party members and send them the care and warmth of the Party organization.

Li Shuxian, a 96-year-old veteran party member, joined the CPC and the revolution in June 1948, participated in more than 30 campaigns, including Liaoshen, Pingjin, and Crossing the Yangtze River, and retired in 1982. He is a witness, participant, and devotee of the centennial struggle of our party. Wei Zhongfa came to Li Shuxian's house and had a long conversation with him, inquiring about his physical and living conditions. Wei Zhongfa pointed out that veteran party members such as Li Shuxian have made positive contributions to the cause of the Party and social development, and are our precious wealth. Street communities should pay them more visits and actively help solve difficulties, so that they can receive assistance in their daily lives and be inspired spiritually, and enjoy more dividends of reform and development. During the visit and condolences, Wei Zhongfa emphasized that all levels and departments should conscientiously implement the policies of care and assistance, and provide ideological, life, and spiritual care to elderly party members, cadres, and disadvantaged party members, so that the vast number of party members can truly feel the warmth and care of the party organization.
