On the morning of September 9th, which marked the eve of the 41st Teachers' Day, Zhu Jian, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Committee and Mayor, paid visits to representatives of front-line teachers at several urban schools, extending warm festival greetings to all educators across the city. He emphasized the importance of fostering a societal atmosphere that respects teachers and values education, aiming to enhance teachers' sense of professional fulfillment, career achievement, and social honor, thereby elevating the city's educational standards. Upon arriving at the Municipal Experimental Kindergarten, Zhu Jian conducted an on-site inspection of the facility layout and activity areas. He inquired in detail about the kindergarten's distinctive features, teacher training programs, and safety management practices. He also visited and expressed appreciation to Xiao Jun, a full-time physical education teacher with 25 years of dedicated service to early childhood education. Zhu Jian noted that early childhood education plays a crucial role in shaping young minds and building character. He encouraged educators to maintain their professional integrity and passion for nurturing students, laying a solid foundation for children's healthy development. He further urged local authorities to provide comprehensive support services, increase investment in preschool education, improve the infrastructure of public kindergartens, and promote the high-quality development of early childhood education. At the Municipal Vocational Secondary Specialized School, Zhu Jian met with two teachers from the clothing major, Liu Hongmei and Huang Xiaodi, and learned about the development of the program. Under their dedicated guidance, the clothing major has achieved outstanding results, including multiple awards in provincial skill competitions and even the championship in the World Vocational College Skills Competition. Zhu Jian emphasized the need to deepen the integration of industry and education, stay at the forefront of fashion trends, and accelerate the establishment of an efficient collaboration mechanism between schools and enterprises. He encouraged the school to leverage its disciplinary strengths to demonstrate professional value through active participation in major festivals and events, thereby expanding opportunities for students' further education and employment. The 15th Middle School of the city, formerly known as the Baishazhou Children's School under the Metallurgical Machinery Bureau, has undergone significant improvements in recent years. With support from various departments, the school has renovated its teaching buildings, playgrounds, and student dormitories to high standards, resulting in a completely renewed campus environment. Upon entering the school, Zhu Jian engaged in a cordial conversation with Liu Zhiying, a representative of outstanding teachers. He expressed sincere appreciation for the teachers' hard work and acknowledged the school's rapid development and educational achievements. He reiterated the need for localities and departments to genuinely care for teachers and address their professional and personal challenges, ensuring that educators feel a sense of happiness in their roles, achievement in their careers, and honor in society—thus advancing the city's educational endeavors. Municipal leaders Xie Hong and Chen Miao, along with the Secretary-General of the Municipal Government, Liao Yizhi, accompanied Zhu Jian on the visits. |
