On November 6, Chen Peng, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Hengyang Municipal Committee, visited Leiyang City to inspect rural revitalization and campus food safety efforts and to conduct forest and river patrols. He called for coordinated progress in ecological protection, industrial development, campus safety, and public well-being to advance all-round rural revitalization.

In Taohua and Dantian villages of Mashui Town, Chen examined the progress of river treatment and camellia forest projects. He urged full implementation of the river and forest chief systems, continued river dredging and environmental improvement, and scientific utilization of forest resources. He also called for strengthening policy support and market expansion for the camellia industry to build strong local brands.

At Cihui School and Zhenxing School, Chen inspected canteens and storerooms, stressing strict control over food sourcing, processing, and hygiene. He urged relevant departments to strengthen coordination and supervision to safeguard campus food safety.

In Lutian Village of Dahewei Township, Chen inspected collective housing projects and irrigation facilities and heard reports on Party building and village economic development. He emphasized compliance with safety standards, improvement of supporting infrastructure, and enhanced agricultural and environmental management. He also encouraged leveraging the “Dahe Grass Carp” brand to attract leading enterprises and promote integrated rural industrial development.
