On November 6, Hengyang launched the 2025 “119 Fire Safety Awareness Month” under the theme “Fire Safety for All, Life Comes First—Safe Use of Fire and Electricity.”

At the launch ceremony, winners of fire safety competitions were commended, and participants observed firefighting equipment displays and live drills.

Officials emphasized that fire safety underpins development and public well-being. All departments and social entities must fulfill their responsibilities, strengthen coordination, and enhance prevention and emergency response.

The campaign will focus on safe use of fire and electricity, improve emergency drills, and expand public education through both online and offline channels to raise awareness and self-protection capacity.

Fire and rescue teams, along with enterprises and institutions, will continue to improve professional training and emergency preparedness, building a stronger safety defense for a peaceful Hengyang.
