From November 4 to 6, Liu Yuegao, Secretary of the CPC Hengyang Municipal Committee, led a delegation to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to carry out targeted investment promotion. The visit focused on advanced manufacturing, new materials, and electronic information, aiming to deepen cooperation with research institutes and leading enterprises, explore new paths for building a modern industrial system with distinctive Hengyang characteristics, and further advance the strategy of “Strengthen the City through Manufacturing, Revitalize it through Culture and Tourism.”

In Guangzhou, Liu visited the Fifth Institute of Electronics of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and held talks with Director Yang Jianjun. He noted that the institute’s technological strengths in reliability research align closely with Hengyang’s drive to develop its intelligent weighing and metrology industry. He expressed hope for comprehensive cooperation in platform building, technical services, and innovation support to inject new momentum into Hengyang’s advanced manufacturing sector.

At Kingboard (Guangzhou) Electronic Materials Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Liu met with Kingboard Group Chairman Zhang Guorong, expressing gratitude for the group’s long-term contributions to Hengyang’s development. He encouraged the company to expand its investment in Hengyang and attract more upstream and downstream projects to accelerate the transformation and upgrading of the city’s salt chemical industry. Kingboard’s leadership expressed full confidence in Hengyang’s investment environment and pledged to deepen cooperation.

Liu also visited D-Rong Group, South China University of Technology’s School of Light Industry and Engineering, and other enterprises, discussing cooperation in bamboo processing, paper-based materials, and high-performance industrial applications. He emphasized the importance of leveraging Hengyang’s resource advantages, extending industrial chains, and fostering innovation-driven growth through stronger industry–university–research collaboration.
