On September 9th, as the 42nd Teacher's Day approaches, a symposium of Hengshan County on education was held. Hengshan County Party Secretary Li Yifan attended the meeting and delivered a speech. County leaders Kuang Zhijun, Tang Chuli, and Huang Runkui attended the meeting, with the county leader Song Luoqing presiding over the meeting.

Li Yifan, on behalf of the four major authorities of Hengshan County, extended festive greetings and high respect to all teachers and educators in the county. He pointed out that in recent years, the county party committee and government have adhered to the priority development of education, taking providing satisfactory education for the people as the greatest livelihood. The quality of education has steadily improved, the conditions for running schools have continued to improve, the teaching staff has been continuously strengthened, and the vitality of development has been accelerated. The education of Hengshan County has achieved remarkable results.

Li Yifan emphasized that education is the foundation of building a strong country and national rejuvenation. All levels and departments in the county should deeply understand the extreme importance of education from the perspective of emphasizing politics, benefiting people's livelihoods, and promoting development. They should firmly shoulder the political responsibility of prioritizing education development, adhere to the bottom line of education fairness and justice for people's livelihoods, give full play to the strategic function of education in gathering people and revitalizing the city, to maintain a clear and urgent sense of competition.

Li Yifan requested to focus on key tasks and comprehensively improve the level of education work in Hengshan County. We must uphold the comprehensive leadership of the Party over the education cause, adhere to the fundamental task of cultivating morality and talents, adhere to the value orientation of educational equity, adhere to the bottom line of safety, and always keep the direction and fundamental principles in mind. We should aim at the overall goal of accelerating the construction of a strong county in education, providing satisfactory education for the people, actively serving and integrating into the construction of the Hengyang Regional Education Center, and dare to benchmark against first-class and take the lead. We need to take measures such as further deepening moral education, expanding and improving quality, strengthening teachers’ education, and promoting reform and innovation, and adhere to targeted efforts to achieve practical results. We must genuinely care for teachers, tell good educational stories, unite social forces, and vigorously promote respect for teachers and education, and promote education for all.

Li Yifan emphasized that education is a systematic project that requires all levels and departments, as well as the whole society, to work together in the same direction. The Party committee and government should shoulder their main responsibilities, functional departments should fulfill their collaborative responsibilities, and the education system should implement direct responsibilities. We should work hard and achieve long-term results, accelerate the construction of a strong county in education, provide education that satisfies the people, and make new and greater contributions to accelerating the high-quality development of Hengshan County.

In the meeting, the report on the education was listened. The selection of outstanding teachers and head teachers of Hengshan County in 2026 were announced. Six teacher representatives made exchange speeches.
