On the morning of September 9, Zhu Jian, secretary of the CPC Hengyang Municipal Committee, chaired a meeting to review preparations for the 12th Global Hunan Entrepreneurs Conference. He stressed the need for stronger coordination between departments and across different levels of government, proactive planning and implementation, and a strong sense of responsibility to deliver a successful event that wins recognition from the provincial authorities, satisfaction from Hunan entrepreneurs and approval from the public.

At the meeting, seven preparation groups reported on progress under the conference’s “4+7+1” activity framework and outlined their next steps.

Zhu said preparations have entered the final sprint, with tight schedules, demanding tasks and high standards. All departments should uphold the principle that “details determine success or failure,” conduct a thorough review against task lists, address shortcomings and improve every detail to ensure smooth coordination among activities and effective implementation of all supporting measures.

He called for further improving the operation of the core working team, clearly assigning responsibilities, coordinating closely with provincial requirements and advancing preparations according to key deadlines. A task-dispatch mechanism should be used to tackle major challenges. Focusing on major project agreements and implementation, Hengyang should prepare high-quality investment and service guides and encourage counties, county-level cities, districts and industrial parks to conduct targeted investment promotion during the conference.

Zhu also stressed the importance of carefully inviting and coordinating guests, confirming arrangements with each individual and planning their schedules. Responsibilities within each preparation group should be clearly defined, while conference services, materials, venue arrangements and the city’s overall atmosphere should be carefully prepared.

He called for greater efforts to explore and promote the culture of “Hunan entrepreneurs returning home,” strengthen news publicity and tell the stories of Hengyang and Hunan entrepreneurs. Guest reception, transportation, catering and volunteer and guide training should also be well organized to provide warm and thoughtful services.

The 12th Global Hunan Entrepreneurs Conference, themed “Building a New Highland in Hunan, Embarking on a New Chapter for Business,” will be held in Hengyang from September 22 to 24. Preparations are progressing as scheduled.
