On the morning of September 11th, the first joint meeting of Shanghai Jiao Tong University Hunan Higher Research Institute Hengyang Branch was held in Hengyang, marking an important step forward in promoting the deep integration of technology and industry through the joint efforts of the university and the local govenment. The Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Zhu Jian, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. Leaders from the Science and Technology Development Research Institute of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Hunan Higher Research Institute, as well as relevant departments and park leaders from Hengyang City, gathered together to discuss the construction plan of the Hengyang branch and draw a blueprint for the development of the embodied intelligent industry.

The meeting read out the appointment notice of Mr. Chen Xie as the Dean of Hengyang Branch from Hunan Higher Research Institute of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, as well as Guo Chenyu as the Deputy Director of Hengyang Talent Development Service Center appointed by the Organization Department of Hengyang Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China. The appointment of two high-level talents marks the official implementation of the organizational structure of Hengyang Branch, and the university-government cooperation has entered a new stage of physical operation.

The meeting clarified that the joint meeting of the government and the college, as the highest decision-making mechanism of the Hengyang Branch, is convened by the deputy mayor in charge of Hengyang. In principle, it is held once every quarter to coordinate and study major issues such as the development positioning, construction goals, implementation paths, annual priorities, and comprehensive guarantees of the Branch. Hengyang City will implement site guarantee in the Runze Intelligent Agent Industrial Park, and coordinate supporting measures such as personnel, funding, and industry funds to create a good ecology for the high-quality development of the Branch.

Zhu Jian pointed out in his speech that on August 29th, Yang Zhenbin, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, came to Hengyang for research and unveiled the plaque for Hengyang Branch, and had high expectations for its high-quality development. Hengyang City should cherish this historical opportunity and make high-level adjustments to provide a good ecological environment for the high-quality development of Hengyang Branch. Shanghai Jiao Tong University Hunan Institute of Advanced Studies and Hengyang City are working together to promote the high-level construction of Hengyang Branch, providing replicable and promotable experience for the construction of Shanghai Jiao Tong University Local Research Institute and other branches of Shanghai Jiao Tong University Hunan Institute of Advanced Studies. We must continue to uphold the style of seeking truth and being pragmatic, and the spirit of "working hard without waiting for the whip". We must seize every moment and push forward various tasks, making Hengyang Branch a powerful support for Shanghai Jiao Tong University Hunan Higher Research Institute and an important carrier for cooperation between Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Hengyang City.
