On the morning of 16 September, the Information Office of the Hunan Provincial People's Government held a press conference in Changsha to announce that the 12th Global Forum For Hunan Entrepreneurs will be convened in Hengyang from 22 to 24 September.  

The forum is jointly hosted by the Communist Party of China (CPC) Hunan Provincial Committee and the Hunan Provincial People's Government. It is organized by the Hunan Chamber of Commerce, the Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce, and the CPC Hengyang Municipal Committee and Hengyang Municipal People's Government. The Hunan Businessmen Friendship Association serves as co-organizer.  

The forum is expected to attract over 1,000 participants, including high-level, representative, and geographically diverse delegates. Key attendees comprise: vice chairpersons of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) and the Chinese Non-State-Owned Enterprises Chamber of Commerce; representatives from ACFIC-affiliated chambers of commerce; principal executives of "Three Categories of Top 500 Enterprises"—namely, Fortune Global 500 enterprises, China Top 500 Enterprises, and China Top 500 Private Enterprises; overseas Chinese business leaders and prominent Hunan-born entrepreneurs; academicians and domain experts; senior representatives from financial institutions; delegates from Hunan provincial chambers of commerce and overseas international chambers of commerce; and representatives from private enterprises and chamber organizations across Hunan Province.  

The Forum features a dual-track format comprising a core thematic program and seven parallel thematic sessions. Core activities include investment matchmaking, on-site industrial inspections, and a hybrid participation model—enabling real-time online engagement by Hunan business associations and entrepreneurs based outside Hunan and abroad. Dedicated regional virtual venues will be established to facilitate global cloud-based collaboration and co-hosting among Hunan business communities worldwide.  

The seven parallel sessions are: (1) the General Assembly of the Hunan Businessmen Friendship Association and the Hunan Business Returnees Promotion Conference; (2) a symposium on overseas business associations and multinational corporations; (3) a seminar on intelligent robotics industry development; (4) an investment promotion and project presentation forum for the intelligent weighing and measurement industry; (5) the Global Youth Hunan Business Leaders Development Forum; (6) a dialogue meeting on women entrepreneurs'; contributions to Hunan's high-quality development; and (7) an additional thematic session (to be announced). Each session targets a specific industrial or functional domain, convenes key Hunan business constituencies, and functions as an actionable platform for government–business dialogue, inter-industry collaboration, and cross-sectoral resource integration.  

Launched in 2007, the 12th Global Forum For Hunan Entrepreneurs is a flagship platform dedicated to engaging hometown talent, encouraging return investment, advancing regional development, and fostering collaborative growth. To date, eleven editions have been successfully held, facilitating over 2,000 investment and cooperative projects with a cumulative pledged investment of RMB 1.14 trillion. The Forum has played a pivotal role in strengthening Hunan's real economy, accelerating the transformation and upgrading of its manufacturing sector, cultivating emerging industries, enhancing industrial chain resilience and sophistication, and building a modern industrial system.
