Hengyang Aoxing Helps City Team Top Youth Swimming Standings at Provincial Games

The youth swimming competition of the 15th Hunan Provincial Games has concluded, with Hengyang achieving its best-ever result in the event. The Hengyang team won 13 gold, nine silver and 11 bronze medals, ranking first in total points and second in gold medals across the province.

Hengyang Aoxing Swimming Club sent 11 athletes to compete on behalf of the city, winning six gold, five silver and two bronze medals. The club contributed 46.15 percent of Hengyang’s gold medals and 34.27 percent of its total points in the event, ranking first among privately operated training teams in the province in both gold medal and overall medal performance.

The strong result reflects Hengyang’s continued efforts to promote the integrated development of sports and education. With policy, organizational and competition support from the Hengyang Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, Television and Sports, Aoxing Swimming Club has taken youth training as a social responsibility. It has expanded its talent pool through campus promotion and public welfare swimming classes, unified teaching standards, built a tiered competition system, strengthened training through scientific methods, and improved athletes’ skills through competitions.

Over the past eight years, Aoxing has remained committed to popularizing youth swimming and cultivating reserve talent. Supported by experienced coaches from sports schools, the club has built a teaching team consisting of certified social sports instructors and professional swimming coaches, and developed a scientific, tiered training system.

It has also established a closed-loop system covering talent selection, teaching, training, competitions, safety management and athlete transfer, while providing support in coaching, venues and insurance to ensure stable training cycles and steady competition performance.

Building on its experience in youth training, Hengyang Aoxing is advancing integrated development of sports and industry through a model combining competitive training and public fitness. The club now operates two standardized swimming venues in Hengyang’s core urban areas, serving both professional teams and the public with year-round swimming training, fitness services and parent-child water activities. It serves more than 100,000 resident visits annually.
