On the morning of Sept 28, Comrade Liu Zhongjie joined the SASAC delegation to discuss the Party congress report and the work report of the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection. He urged a deep and accurate understanding of the congress’s spirit, a focus on core duties and main business, and proactive action to fully enhance the competitiveness, innovation and influence of the state-owned economy, so as to shoulder major responsibilities and make greater contributions to Hengyang’s high-quality development and turn the blueprint drawn by the 13th Municipal Party Congress into reality through solid work and tangible results.

During the discussion, deputies spoke actively based on their posts and work. They agreed that the report summarizes achievements realistically, analyzes the situation thoroughly, sets inspiring goals and offers solid and effective measures, making it a good report that boosts confidence, guides direction and gathers strength.

After listening to the deputies, Liu Zhongjie noted that the report follows the theme of “Upholding People-Centeredness, Strengthening Historical Responsibility, and write a new chapter in advancing Chinese modernization in Hengyang.” It reviews the past five years’ achievements and experience and sets out the overall approach for the next five years with a clear theme and direction. He encouraged deputies to study earlier and deeper, accurately grasp the congress’s theme and main line, systematically sort out the report’s logic, understand its goals, tasks and key measures, identify the role of state-owned assets and enterprises in the city’s overall development, and align their thinking and actions with the congress’s decisions and arrangements.
