On the morning of October 26, a research symposium on nuclear medicine technology innovation and industrial development was held. Zhang Jian, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Political Consultative Conference, Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, and Head of the Provincial Biomedical and Medical Device Industry Chain, attended and delivered a speech. Liu Zhongjie, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, presided over the meeting.

At the meeting, Vice Mayor Wang Jing reported on the city’s innovation in nuclear medicine technology and industrial development. Zhang Jian fully affirmed the city’s innovation and industrial development in nuclear medicine technology. He noted that nuclear medicine is a frontier direction of modern medicine, with broad development space and huge market potential. Hengyang should leverage its unique advantages, seize development opportunities, focus on key areas, and strive to build a highland for the medical isotope and nuclear medicine industry south of the Yangtze River, thereby promoting high-quality development of the nuclear medicine industry.
