Hengyang to Present Nearly 1,000 Agricultural Products at Regional Expo

One hundred Hengyang enterprises will present nearly 1,000 specialty agricultural products at the 27th China Central (Hunan) Agricultural Expo, scheduled for November 6 to 9 in Changsha.

With a focus on technology and branding to advance rural revitalization, the expo will cover approximately 80,000 square meters across six exhibition halls. Exhibition sections will feature grain, edible oils and tea brands, fresh produce, catering ingredients, international and interprovincial exchanges, and achievements from cities across Hunan.

Hengyang's exhibits will include oil-tea camellia products, Qidong daylilies, Xianghuang chicken, Sanzhang yellow tribute peppers, Nanyue Yunwu tea, rice noodles and rapeseed oil. Dedicated displays will feature Hengdong's local cuisine and Qidong daylilies, giving buyers opportunities to explore distinctive regional foods.

The delegation's participation supports priorities set at Hengyang's 13th municipal Party congress, which placed agricultural modernization, rural revitalization and higher farmer incomes among the city's main development objectives for the next five years. These priorities include linking farming more closely with processing and services, and increasing the value of agricultural products through grain processing, meat production and other related industries.

During the expo, Hengyang will organize product presentations, agricultural investment promotion, tastings, business discussions and cultural performances reflecting farming and rural life. More than 30 local companies will join a large-scale livestreaming sales initiative promoting agricultural products. Participating businesses will also attend buyer-supplier matchmaking events.

The city aims to use the expo to expand sales channels, raise the profile of Hengyang agricultural brands and attract investment. Its coordinated delegation will connect local producers with prospective buyers and investors while presenting the results of the city's agricultural development efforts.
