Zhengxiang District Held Food Safety Publicity Week to Popularize Food Safety Knowledge

On Juy 13th morning, Zhengxiang District carried out the food safety publicity week with colorful and abundant propaganda activities to encourage all social members to pay more attention to food safety. Zhou Honghui, Luo Qiong and other district leaders have participated in the publicity activities.
 
  Government have vividly explained the food safety knowledge to the children in front of the inquiry desk, especially the principles of buying the smacks. The principles include: to buy the smacks from regulate shops and never buy the snacks without factory names, factory address, and production date, to check the product labels which should include the name of the food, list of the ingredients, net content, the manufacturer`s name, manufacturer`s address, date of manufacture, shelf life and the standardized number.
 

  In the Zhengxiang Street, working staffs of Bureau of Livestock and Aquatic Products Bureau of Zhengxiang District taught the pedestrians to distinguish the normal and abnormal meat. The meat take from the pig that  has been bred with lean meat powder would be brightly red, and the fiber of the meat would be quite loose. The healthy meat should be pink; the elasticity should be in good situation; and there should be no liquid flowing from the space between lean meat and fat.

  It was known that this propaganda activity was hosted and guided by the Office of Food Safety Commission of Zhengxiang District. The Economic and Informationization Commission, Agriculture Bureau, Public Health Bureau, Science and Technology Bureau, Commerce Bureau, Quality Supervision Bureau,  Entry-exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, Education Bureau and Food and Drug Supervision Bureau and other related departments of the district have participated in the activity. Through distributing propaganda materials on the ground, dealing with the inquiry about food safety of pedestrians, the relative food safety knowledge has been further popularized and the food safety problems in people’s daily life can be solved on the ground without running around the departments.
