The Yumu Mountain Tourist Resort and Xiangjiangnan Tourist Resort in Hengyang City were recognized as provincial-level tourist resorts and four hotels in the city were identified as four-star tourist hotels by the Hunan Provincial Cultural Tourism Department on September 9.

Yumu Mountain is a part of the Nanyue Mountains, with high peaks, deep valleys, lush mountains and lucid waters. The core scenic area covers 10 square kilometers, and has such scenic spots as Emperor Ku’s Temple, Yumu Greenway, Artist Tribe, Lingshan Square, and Taxus Base. It is known as the “backyard” and “green lung” of Hengyang City.

The Xiangjiangnan Tourist Resort is located at the foot of Fenghuang Peak in the east of Nanyue Mount Heng. The scenic area features hot spring health preservation, ecological landscapes, ecological agriculture, and Hengdong cuisine, and consists of the hot spring wellness area, the water amusement area, the mountain sports area, and the rural tourism area.
