On January 26, the reporter learned from the 2024 Municipal Market Supervision Work Conference that the total number of local business entities is among the highest across Hunan for three consecutive years. Vice Mayor Huang Yan'e attended the conference and delivered a speech.

In 2023, the product quality supervision work of the Municipal Market Supervision Bureau, the drug safety work of Hengyang County, the commercial system reform of Qidong County, the intellectual property work of Leiyang City, and the food safety work of Nanyue District were given incentives during the provincial government's supervision and inspection initiative. At the same time, the city was approved as a national pilot city strong in IPR protection. The Municipal Market Supervision Bureau was honored as an advanced unit by the State Administration for Market Regulation, and Caizichi Market Supervision Office of Leiyang City was named one of the first five-star supervision offices in the Country. The Municipal Market Supervision Bureau has exchanged its experience in meetings at the provincial level and above 12 times, and hosted several provincial-level meetings, and has been rated as an excellent unit in the city's performance appraisal for four consecutive years. By the end of 2023, the city had 595,900 business entities, an increase of 12.23 per cent year-on-year, and the total number of business entities ranked steadily in the forefront of the province for three consecutive years.

In 2024, the city's market supervision department will focus on seven aspects: leading political construction built based on Party building, stimulating market vitality with further measures, maintaining market order through law-based supervision, building a strong quality city with closed-loop measures, developing intellectual property rights with creation initiatives, guarding the bottom line of safety with long-term prevention and control measures, and upgrading the level of supervision based on capacity building.

Huang Yan'e stressed that in the next year, the city's market supervision departments should promote the high-quality development of the economy with stronger responsibility, maintain market order and protect consumers’ rights and interests with stringent regulation, and ensure reliable market supervision with a component team.
