On the afternoon of June 24th, Liu Zhangyu, member of the Municipal Party Committee and Minister of the Organization Department and United Front Work Department, visited and extended condolences to some retired veteran cadres, veteran Party members, and families of Party members who died in the line of duty in our city. Liu Zhangyu first visited Lan Guiyuan Community to visit and console retired veteran cadre Tan Fengzhong. Tan, aged 96, joined the revolution in January 1949, became a Party member in April 1950, and retired in 1984. Seeing Tan's spirited and optimistic demeanor, Liu Zhangyu was very pleased. He extended holiday greetings to Tan and presented him with flowers and a consolation allowance. 77-year-old veteran Party member Xie Jichun lives in Changshun Huayuan, High-Tech Zone. Liu Zhangyu presented him with the "Glorious 50 Years in the Party" commemorative medal, along with flowers, a consolation allowance, and holiday greetings. Learning that Xie Jichun had been repeatedly recognized as an "outstanding Communist Party member" during his service and continued to uphold his original aspirations and mission after retirement, actively engaged in public welfare and grassroots party organization building, Liu Zhangyu praised Xie Jichun as a role model for everyone to learn from.

Wang Junxiang, a retired worker, is the wife of Wei Richu, former Deputy Director of the City Women's Prison, who had received multiple awards for meritorious service in public security work and tragically passed away due to acute myocardial infarction in September 2021. Liu Zhangyu visited Wang Junxiang's home, presenting her with flowers and a consolation allowance. Liu Zhangyu praised Wei Richu as an outstanding representative of the public security team, whose spirit inspires everyone to move forward. Liu Zhangyu urged Wang Junxiang to stay strong, take good care of herself, and promptly report any difficulties to the organization, assuring her that the future will surely be better.
