On the morning of September 29, the 13th Municipal Political Consultative Conference held a special meeting focused on "Enhancing Chanshan Cultural Brand and Promoting Deep Integration of Cultural and Tourism Development in Hengyang." Municipal Party Secretary Liu Yuegao attended and emphasized the need to thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping's cultural thoughts, seizing the historic opportunity of successfully hosting the Third Hunan Tourism Development Conference to fully promote high-quality, leapfrog development of the city's cultural and tourism industry.

The meeting approved a proposal to the Hengyang Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Municipal People's Government regarding "Enhancing Chanshan Cultural Brand and Promoting Deep Integration of Cultural and Tourism Development."

Liu recognized the achievements of the Municipal Political Consultative Conference in recent years, noting that the research report and proposal provided significant insights for the Party Committee and government’s decision-making processes, reflecting the value of specialized consultations.

He stressed the importance of converting research outcomes into high-level implementations to enhance the integration of culture and tourism. Liu urged leveraging Hengyang's unique cultural tourism resources, supporting collaborations in "Cultural Tourism + Sports, Industry, Agriculture, Technology, and Performing Arts," and promoting cultural leadership in tourism prosperity.

Liu also highlighted the need to identify suitable angles for integration, creating more distinctive cultural tourism products that reflect Hengyang's characteristics, thereby enhancing the industry’s competitive edge and brand value. He called for an open approach to attract regional resources to Hengyang’s cultural tourism sector, boosting its significance both in the province and nation.

Liu emphasized the importance of high-standard handling of proposals and recommendations to support development. He called for strict adherence to efficiency, satisfaction, and implementation standards, aiming to build a coordinated and efficient working framework that ensures timely responses and results for all proposals.

Liu noted that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the People's Political Consultative Conference, urging local consultative organizations to uphold traditions, remember their political responsibilities, and provide wise advice and practical strategies. The Municipal Committee will continue to support the work of the consultative conference, creating favorable conditions for their functions.
