On November 25th, Yang Hongbing, former researcher at China Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center and chief engineer of the overall model of aerospace measurement and control, visited Chengbei Primary School in Hengshan County, delivering a unique lecture on aerospace knowledge to the  teachers and students in the school.

In the lecture, Yang Hongbing, with his rich professional knowledge and personal experience, introduced the development process of China's aerospace industry, cutting-edge aerospace technology, and exciting aerospace achievements in vivid and popular language to the students. In the lecture, Yang showcased exquisite aerospace models when giving detailed explanations of the functions and applications of different types of spacecraft, as well as the methods and principles of satellite launches and other basic aerospace knowledge.  The lecture gave students a profound understanding of the spiritual power behind the aerospace industry, greatly stimulating their strong interest in aerospace science and the spirit of exploration.

Subsequently, 20 student representatives engaged in a classroom activity about Tiangong with Yang Hongbing to explore the mysteries of the universe in the form of asking and answering questions about aerospace knowledge. In the class, the children asked thought-provoking questions to Yang: "How do spacecraft obtain electricity in space?" "What kind of physical conditions are required to go to space?" "Will the body be uncomfortable after returning from space?" Yang Hongbing patiently answered them one by one, using easy to understand language and vivid metaphors to answer questions and stimulate their further thinking.

“On the lecture today, Teacher Yang taught us a lot of knowledge about aerospace and answered our questions in detail, which also aroused our curiosity about the vast universe. Teacher Yang is now our off campus counselor and we hope to have more opportunities hear more stories about aerospace from him, "said Zhou Xinlei, a fifth grade student at Hengshan County Chengbei Elementary School, happily.

 In order to welcome this special "Heavenly Palace Classroom", the children, fully utilizing their creativity and hands-on abilities, created space models with materials such as old cardboard boxes and ultra light clay. At the same time, the students also picked up their paintbrushes and drew colorful hand drawn works, some depicting the magnificent moment of a rocket taking off, some outlining the fantastic scene of astronauts strolling in space, and some imagining the grand blueprint of establishing a home for humanity in the universe in the future. These models and paintings are not only concrete expressions of their love for aerospace, but also carry their aspirations for space exploration, demonstrating children's love and interest in the aerospace industry.

This activity not only enriched the extracurricular life of students in Chengbei Elementary School, popularized aerospace knowledge, but also quietly sowed the seeds of dreams of exploring space in their hearts.

The children said that they not only acquired a lot of knowledge about aerospace, but also felt the patriotism behind the aerospace spirit. In the future, they should study hard and become useful talents to make contributions to the country like Yang when they grow up.
