Yulin Invitation is also known as sweet-smelling heap waist, local first bowl, nine-story building (a pile of nine dishes), the whole family blessing. According to legend, Admiral Peng Yulin in Qing Dynasty, a native of Hengyang has returned home and invited local people to dinner. For that richness, the first bowl of dish is named as Yulin Invitation. As the dish has been popular in Hengyang, it has gradually become the first bowl in the feast, denoting unity and happiness.
