The main responsibilities of Hengyang Municipal Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau are：

1. Implementing the relevant laws, regulations, policies and working rules about entry-exit health quarantine, animal and plants quarantine, as well as import and export commodity quarantine, being responsible for the works of entry-exit inspection, quarantine, identification and supervision in Hengyang and Yongzhou.

2. Carrying out entry-exit health quarantine, infectious diseases surveillance and health supervision.

3. Implementing the inspection, supervision and management on entry-exit animals and plants inspection and quarantine.

4. Carrying out the statutory survey, supervision and management of import and export commodities, in charge of identifying and managing import and export commodities, implementing the identification on foreign investment assets.

5. Being responsible for visa the generalized system of preferences and general certificate of origin.
