Recently, according to the project department of Hengshan Science Zone, the first land expropriation and housing demolition of 585 mu(a unit of area) has been basically completed, the science city's overall planning had its approval of municipal government in may, also a 5 square kilometers of control planning and special planning was approved in september. The EPC project of mangrove model area has been officially started at the end of august and there should be 30,000 centiare come into use before year end.   

  Hengshan Science Zone is a developing opportunity for major industries which brought by hengyang municipal committee and government's intention to accelerate the implementation of innovation-driving and development strategies and to seize the mobile internet technology, it is set up to push hengyang industries make change from processing and manufacturing into innovation industries. And it is a new industriral park which regard technical innovation as object, headquarters concentration with economics, high-end manufacturing as dominant, east to Cai Lun avenue, south to the Xiangjiang river, west to Yuelin highway and north to southern third ring road.

The major projects include large data center construction project, the sapphire crystal construction project, education informationize platform and production base project, equipment  UAV rotorcraft industry project，sangu medical robots project, photochemistry engineering center construction project, sustained release tablet production and development base project.
