Established in 1953, Hengyang Maternal and Child Health Hospital is a Grade A Tertiary (Class III, Grade A) specialized hospital integrating maternal and child healthcare, medical treatment, rehabilitation, teaching, and scientific research. It is the only institution of its kind in the Hengyang region to hold this highest accreditation level for maternal and child health services. The hospital also operates under the name "Hengyang Children's Hospital," a title officially adopted in 2008.

The hospital operates two main campuses:

‌Yanfeng Campus:‌ No. 89 Jiefang Road, Yanfeng District, Hengyang City, Hunan Province.

‌Zhuhui Campus:‌ No. 51 Xiangshan Village, Zhuhui District, Hengyang City, Hunan Province.

‌Specialized Services‌

In recent years, the hospital has expanded its specialized care capabilities, including the establishment of multidisciplinary teams for weight management clinics for both women and children/adolescents, as well as standardized asthma clinics for children.
