As the largest ancient architectural complex in the River South of China, Nanyue Grand Temple has been boasted as "First Temple in the River South" and the "Forbidden City in the South". The Hotel is only 400 meters away from Nanyue Grand Temple. Established in Tang Dynasty, the Nanyue Grand Temple was constructed in Tang Dynasty, suffered six mass fire disasters in Tang Dynasty, Song Dynasty, Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty and experienced 16 times renovation and expansion. The Temple developed into the current area of 98500 square meters. Nanyue Grand Temple consists of courtyard with the layout of nine entrances and four grand lanes. With encircling walls, red walls, mountain river and surrounding water, the Grand Temple was remarkable similar with the style of the Palace Museum in Beijing. With the coexistence of Buddhism and Taoism, the eastern side has eight Taoist temples and the western side has eight Buddhist temples, which could be boasted as one wonder of temples in our country.
