Located in Qulan Town, Hengyang County, Wang Chuanshan's hometown ecological and cultural tourism area is the seclusion and writing place of Wang Fuzhi, an outstanding Chinese thinker and philosopher in Ming and Qing Dynasties. It has been awarded national key cultural relics protection unit, national AAA-level scenic spot, hometown of Chinese poetry, national ecological and cultural village, Huxiang style and cultural tourism town, Hunan characteristic tourism village, national ecological and cultural tourism park, national ecological and cultural tourism park, national ecological and cultural tourism park, and national ecological and cultural tourism park classic cultural village in Hunan province, beautiful rural demonstration village in Hunan province.

The scenic spot takes "Hengyang Chuanshan, a great scholar of heaven and earth" as its image orientation, takes "Chuanshan cultural and ideological experience" as its core, and constructs a comprehensive layout of "one core (Xiangxi Thatched Cottage), one district (Chuanshan Cultural Town) and three parks (Chuanshan Cultural Park, Chuanshan Modern Agricultural Demonstration Park and Dongluozhai Forest Park). It focuses on building some functions as one,  such as external cultural exhibition and exchange, Chuanshan cultural research, training and research, leisure agriculture, regimen and tourism, non-genetic inheritance and so on. Then, it becomes the source of Huxiang cultural spirit, the memorial highland of Chuanshan culture, and the research base of Chuanshan thought. In this way, it builds a national characteristic tourism town, "Chuanshan Cultural Town".
